Brendon Lade, Dean Brogan, Troy Chaplin, Chad Cornes and Toby Thurstans show their strengthThe Port Adelaide Football Club recently launched its charity arm – ‘Power of Dreams’ -- and chose Variety - the Children’s Charity as one of its preferred Charities.

To celebrate this great partnership and the launch of the Variety V2 Event some of the 2009 motorbike entrants came up with a FUN stunt involving the Power players. Troy Chaplin, Dean Brogan, Brendon Lade, Chad Cornes and Toby Thurstans went up against V2 Chair, Anthony Toop and other entrants in a tug-of-war contest.

It was man against the bikers and two Adelaide Brighton Cement trucks out the front of the Power headquarters at Alberton.

We are pleased to report that it was the POWER that won the struggle!

The Perks of the Power Kicking Goals

In a fantastic initiative, Perks Integrated Business Services and Power of Dreams have joined forces to help raise money for scosa, the Spastic Centres of South Australia.

As part of the Power of Dreams project, for every goal that the Power kicks at AAMI Stadium this year, Perks will donate $100 to scosa.

In the six games at AAMI, the Power has kicked 48 goals with scosa receiving $4800 to date.

Funds raised through the partnership over the home and away season will assist the valuable work of scosa and ensure that people with disabilities throughout South Australia continue to receive the support and services they deserve.

Perks, a South Australian based company, is a client-driven accounting and financial services firm. With a ‘hands on’ approach, and a experienced team, Perks ensures robust financial solutions.

Power through Harbour Town

The 'Power through Harbour Town Trail' in the July school holidays took kids on a journey of giveaways and activities and gave them the opportunity to meet some of their faourite Power players.

For a gold coin donation they followed the trail collecting goodies, met Power players and Thunderbirds and enjoyed entertainment along the way. All proceeds went to the Starlight Children's Foundation.
